It's been a while since I have posted on here, so I figured it needed an update. Since my last post, we have done the ADDIE model Instructional Design project. This project was pretty time consuming and took quite a bit of thought, but I think it actually gave me some good practice at designing an instructional unit by using this model. I do think the ADDIE model is an affective way to plan a unit becuase it really makes sure that you take a lot of things into account in plannin every phase of the unit. I just hope I can make myself look into this many details when planning my units in teh future.
I have spent some time today looking at different theorists for my theorist paper. There were only a few on the list of choices that I had actually heard of, or at least remember hearing of. I knew who Benjamin Bloom was, of course, since Bloom's taxonomy has been drilled in my head throughout my education classes. I had also heard of B.F. Skinner and his behavior research in some of my educational psychology classes. I ended up choosing Skinner becuase I was somewhat familiar with him and it seems fairly interesting to me. After doing some more research, it is possible that I could change, but we will see.
I will be posting more on this week's reading assignment later. I am especially interested in looking more into the chapter about motivation.
